About Me
The problem with specialists is that they only know their own specialities, their own "slice". They do not get the whole picture. I see the whole child!
I have been tutoring, consulting and providing learning assessments successfully for 25 years. I am a member of the International Dyslexia Association, hold an M.F.A. degree from Rutgers University and have studied education at Hunter College and NYU.
The insights I can provide are partially due to the fact that I have Dyslexia. Growing up I had undiagnosed double vision and tracking problems. I resolved my own problems and was able to complete a bachelors and masters degree. I began to help friends' children and developed my own program and methods, then decided to make this my profession. I have consistently been able to help the children I have tutored, and have also helped their parents in dealing with the school systems. I have won many cases involving advocacy, mediation or arbitration.
